The Messerschmitt Bf-109 was the primary fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe during World War II, with around 35,000 units produced between 1936 and 1945. It was developed as part of a German competition in 1933 and later outperformed its rival, the He-112.Several versions were created, including the Bf-109E (Emil), which was used in the Battle of France, the Battle of Britain, and on the Eastern Front. The Bf-109F (Friedrich) was known for its aerodynamics, while the Bf-109G (Gustav) was the most widely produced, featuring a more powerful engine.
